What happens with your setup anon is that you sweat right through your synthetic socks into your boots. Those are large and thick enough to absorb a days worth of sweat without losing much insulation, then you dry them over a heat source, no problem.
What happens with wool socks is that the moisture stays partly in the socks. This is not a big problem, first because wool actually doesn't lose insulation very quickly as it gets wetter, and second because you can at any time switch socks and remove that moisture from your feet. This is an utter necessity when you don't have ability to dry your boots over a heat source, say because you're out for a longer period of time and not just for a single days work. It's two different approaches for two different situations.
Btw you said a ton of actually stupid shit there.
>water absorbs an incredible amount of heat heat to phase changeNonsense. The process of wool getting wet produces heat actually. Drying it absorbs heat, but you do that outside of your boots duh.
>wool is only a good insulator when is bone dryWool is noted to retain much more insulation than stuff like cotton when wet.
>wool socks lack elasticity so they bunch and slide causing blistersTotal nonsense, wool socks aren't considered better or worse for blisters than synthetics.
> wool, unlike synthetic, has pores that absorb and hold sweatWool absorbs water but "pores" is not what's responsible for it.
