Walk to some shaded spot, preferably with water.
Get there by 11am, chill, take a nap, read, etc until 3:30-4.
Walk until the sun starts setting and set up camp(preferably somewhere with water), alternatively if there is enough moonlight just go until you feel like stopping.
Basically as long as you plan to be in the shade during the most direct sunlight and you are careful about water (4-5L per 20 miles), and you have reliable and up to date info on where to get more water, it's pretty nice. Not any worse than hiking in the winter, just a different set of challenges.
