If they really wanted you, almost all electronic devices would be off the table. So no gps/phone to navigate with. No entertainment besides the outdoors.
Could stay in the middle of nowhere for a while, but eventually you'd need to pop back to civilization for something medical and they could get a lead from there.
It all depends how invested they were. If they stopped giving a shit after a while, you could get supplies without being noticed and last indefinitely. If they had a 24/7 search party you had to constantly evade, life would get too miserable being on the run in the wild with nothing and you'd quit eventually.

They brought out everything, and literally were incapable of finding this guy until he decided to be found. If he'd built a cabin in the woods, stocked it with food and other supplies, and fled out of state, he could have lived in the wilderness for literally years without them ever finding him.
