What's your opinion on woollen cloaks? Fellowship of the Ring style.

Sure, you'll probably get a few funny looks wearing a cloak but it's got advantages:

>water resistant, so can be used as a coat in light rain
>doubles as a blanket so can take a smaller sleeping bag
>keeps you warm
> can easily just push it behind your arms if you're too warm

I want to make a cloak but I'm still trying to source the wool as I'm no millionaire so can't spend £200 on some blankets.
