They have the most mosquitoes, especially in the late spring when the previous years mosquitoes have not died off and the next generation has hatched. That process is curtailed by freezing winters, which Florida rarely has. There’s an abundance of venomous snakes, mostly cotton mouths, but also eastern diamondbacks. There are alligators galore, but they rarely attack. I think the bears are pretty rare, but there’s definitely a bear population there. Mountain lions as well; rare but everyone knows about the “Florida panther” (it’s not a panther). Also giant ass spiders, pythons, piranha, meth addicts galore, and swarms of killer bees. So I mean you’re probably less likely to be killed and more likely to have a really fucked up trip.
