>>2353928Generally it depends on where you are. An urban bag is going to look very different from a rural bag.
But it sort of runs down like this for a 72 hour bag
>FoodEnough no-prepare food to keep you alive, remember you are bugging out to another location, so a few packets of trail mix, or other storable items
>WaterA good bottle or two, potentially a 3 liter bladder with some iodine tablets, the idea is that you carry enough to keep you going inbetween stops.
>ToolsThink multi tool, some paracord/twine, scissors that sort of thing and a pair of lighters
>MedsSome bandaids, gauze, med, especially prescriptions people forget those often. Stuff to fix a boo boo, or pack a wound.
>Force MultiplierIdeally a Handgun of your choosing, with an extra mag, and a good holster that can be CCW;d. This is mainly a deterrent, you aren't looking for fights, just trying to avoid them. Or if you are in bongistan a hatchet or fixed blade knife.
>NavigationCompass and map, and the skills to use them, Add a powerbank in there to charge your phone, never know when you might get some signal and can send some texts
>Other shitMoney is good, keep a Hundred in smaller bills maybe 2 hundred, enough that you can buy some food or something. Should also keep some documents on you so you can prove your identity. Extra change of socks and underwear, jacket, blanket
>Hygiene shitToothbrush and paste, some soap, and handsanitizer will keep you clean, and really an ounce of prevention is a pound of cure, don't forget that.
Really there's no perfect list, but in general these are the sort of things you should keep in a decent backpack. Just remember this isn't a permanent thing, you are expecting to be able to get to safety. Think a hurricaine, forest fire or other non-national disaster, or some civil unrest.
