if life were "perfect" we'd have a constant pressure to enjoy it, reality would demand our obedience by its sheer virtue and unparalleled glory
Because the bedrock of life is brutality and indifference, every instance of beauty and joy is not some balancing act or divine reward. But rather is uneclipsed unintended beauty deriving it's radiating glow not despite the cruelty of the world, but from it--the world is supremely humble. The art of man is proud, it seeks to create beauty, it is fake in a sense. Like men have distaste for make-up, so does everything unconsciously hold distaste for conscious effort to beauty, it is polluted by pride.
It is thus a form of art that all men appreciate and love, that of the convergence of countless unseen factors that at this very instant meet in some grand musical harmony, not just creating art, but actually being art in itself. A synchronity of everything convalescing in a singular moment of beauty.
Life is effortless beauty, because life does not seek to be beautiful or to be art, but as a byproduct of the cosmic struggle against annihilation--or chaos.
Imperfection, is a beautiful gift from our Creator, because by raising everything above ourselves we can not never be insulted or wronged by the tides of life.
Would the tree not be so much less beautiful if we knew the tree attempted to please us? Does the tree's indifference to it's own beauty not soothe us, that we do not NEED to find the tree beautiful? That it's purpose is in fact completely unrelated to beauty, yet it still is beautiful?
That is why life is sacred, because it has a will and desire of it's own, it struggles, and as water and fire create steam so does life and struggle create beauty.
