>>2356941This pic is from Asia, but it’s true in US national parks. I have a few ideas on how to thin the crowds. It’s not a carte blanch solution; some things will work in some places, etc.
>no foreignersThese are our national parks. They belong to us. We don’t have to share them at all, and the denial of entry to non-Americans means nothing to me when allowing them in degrades the experience of my countrymen.
>make attractions less accessibleI’m not saying there should be a 20 mile hike to see Old Faithful. But if Mount A and Mount B are both busy, you can make one of them a normie containment zone by removing trail heads, not repairing bridges, letting trail maintenance degrade, and so on at the other mountain.
>lottery system or reservation just for entranceOnly for extreme cases like the day hikes and popular attractions at Zion (worse than Disneyland). Similar to a permit system for backpacking in some places, people put in for the dates they want to go well in advance of showing up. Just the system itself would deter people.
>limited number of entrants, nightclub styleSorry, we’re full up until someone leaves. You can wait or try back another day.
