I recently stopped using trekking poles and added two ~45” tent poles. Using them as a pole mod over the ridge line adds a surprising amount of room. Like I knew it would be more but I was still surprised.
I also set them up with one 6’ line running from each side panel pull to the top of a pole and a single line 6’ running from the top of the pole to the ground, just to try it out. 6’ lines from the pulls seemed really long; I think 3’ on each would be plenty. Supposedly this setup works well in the wind, but it won’t be windy for a while around here.
