The guy I bought her from was racing her, so she was not really fitted out at all inside, but her sailing gear was great, and she had a brand new outboard, which in itself would be worth a couple of thousand.
On top of that she came with a years mooring at a decent yacht club.
Here's the thing though, the minute you start doing projects on a boat like that, the time and cost goes haywire.
There is a hack to all of this though, and that is just to make sure that you are sailing her the whole time, so you are getting good use of her.
I sail almost every weekend and to be honest, the inside of her is still in a state of disrepair, even after all the work we have done.
I will get her lifted out in the winter and do some bits, I fancy rewiring her and antifouling etc etc.
