Just picked up a Henry .22 repeater. What gear would compliment this for the most authentic old school experience. I got a buck 110 as my knife, looking for other gear items that have a bit more soul.

I have an entire modern plastic backpacking loadout and takedown rifle, just looking for a change of pace

There is literally zero logic to our firearms laws because the people who wrote the legislation have never touched a gun. We basically copy American restrictions (length, concealability, full auto) because we're fucking retarded. We recently had the ar15 get banned because Americans said it's scary despite it only being able to be taken to a range and literally zero people being killed with a legally acquired ar15 for the few decades we had one. Basically take the most retarded democrat and put them at the table to write firearms laws and there you go, that's Canada. Oh yeah and carrying anything for the purpose of self defence is illegal too.

Thats the thing though, i love .357 for handgun purposes, but .44 always seemed like the way to go for a carbine. So now im in the position of wanting a carbine in .357 and .44. I guess the only option is to get a .44 handgun and a two carbines. One in .357 and one in .44. Thanks for talking me into it.

To take the strain off your wallet, though, a .357 out of a carbine is formidable enough for most foes, if you already have a Vaquero or something chambered in that load. A 125gr bullet should hit around 2000 fps out of a sixteen inch barrel. Use a ballistic tip and that will make just about anything dead, or at least regretful, assuming you're on the North American continent

I have a rough rider and I have fired it in the winter in like 15F (probably -5C) and the craziest noise happens, like a zip and a slide flute. The bullet on .22lr gets stuck in the barrel because of thermal contraction. I had to bump it out with the cylinder pin and then swap it for the .22mag. .22lr just wouldn't make it through the barrel in that cold. Otherwise it is a fun and good little toy gun.

Our gun laws aren't based in logic. I don't want to go full /k/ here, but if you have a gun and a Chinese clone that's exactly the same, the Chinese one may be legal and the original may be illegal. A version of the same gun may become legal or illegal based on the sort of look it has as well. I'm not kidding. This is due to the constant use of the term "assault rifle" which doesn't actually have a real definition beyond "scary looking gun".

While the 110 is a great trad knife, it's not really a cowboy knife. If you wanna larp as a cowboy, get a big fuckoff bowie and a stockman/similar slipjoint

Only requires a lee loader, a mallet, a mold, a skillet, some lead, and a campfire.

Depends on what your after. Original 1892's were chambered in oddball calibers like 25-20, 32-20, and the most common being 44-40.
Reproductions come in 357 Mag, 44 mag. 45 Colt, and even some in 454 Casull.
Rossi makes an affordable 92 that even comes in 454 Casull. The Italian ones are alright these days, used mine yesterday and they will all be around 1100 to 1300. A Winchester (Miroku) will have the best fit and finish, it's not any stronger than the others but it definitely nicely crafted. That's probably 1500 or so.

Just going to use one cartridge I load, 45 colt is all over the place, but generally runs a dollar per round.
Brass is at minimum 50 cents per new, a fast powder like titegroup which is very economical is probably around 10 cents per charge, a cast bullet commercially is going to be 11 cents per round at cheapest but casting your own cuts that to dirt and you have a better bullet frankly, and finally primers tend to be around 10 cents at their cheapest and can be as high as 18 cents when you have to pay hazmat and shipping.
So your FIRST loading costs around 80% of factory equivalent ammunition, but that cost is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper after the first firing because you reuse the single most expensive component(brass) over and over until they fail.
It costs maybe 30 cents per plinker for 45 Colt, same is true for 44 mag, 45-70 costs me like 50 cents per round, and 30-30 is pretty similar.
