>>2385181It's not ideal because there's virtually no resistance at end range where you need it. It would be improved if your torso was pitched forward or prone, because then the peak force would be at peak contraction of the muscle. I recommend prone i, t, y, w -more functional as it's isometric in the position you use it on the wall. Or even cycle between i,t, y, w, pretend you're pulling a hold while you're getting external rotation resistance. Some people go prone and pass a weight around in a circle from one hand to the other (overhead then down to over butt pass). You can also do side lay external rotation with dumbbell, keep elbow slightly up from you side don't rest it on your side-this is a more targeted exercise
>>2385585Are you sure over gripping is your problem? Which part of your finger hurts? You shouldn't have to have it taped all the time. I had a collateral ligament sprain (the side of the finger) that i treated like a pulley sprain and it didn't get better until i diagnosed it properly. Whatever it is, the rice bucket can probably cure it, doing splays and stirring with your fingers and whatnot.
>>2385044I don't think the band will interfere with the camming action because it can stretch. However ,if i had to use it in passive mode, i would have to flip the head of the tricam. Usually I'm placing tricams active anyway, but I also think flipping them to passive position will be easier than juggling them into active position. We will see what happens.
>>2385043I don't expect it will, particularly because the bands can stretch and because tricams are usually best seated with the pointy bit down, so the sling just rests against the metal anyway. I'll test it this weekend. I'll take a set of tricams and a set of nuts and see what i can do with just that - retro style.
