>>2366394Why not just buy a dedicated weapon mounted light for your 22lr?
>>2366193/k/tard here. I have a "tactical" job for what it's worth. And out of maybe 30 different flashlights I've owned for work, I settled on a $35 dollar flashlight. It's the Streamlight ProTac 1L-1AA Dual Fuel. It's very small and lightweight, and best of all you can use either one AA battery (which are cheap and plentiful), or one CR123 if you want a little extra candela and lumens. It has a really long run time, I use my flashlight A LOT (and I really do mean a lot) since I mostly work at night, and I'm averaging one AA battery a month. If I used it like a normal person it might be one AA every 3 to 6 months.
Best of all it's a dual clip system, where you can either put it in your pocket like you would a folding knife, or if you're wearing a hat, you can attach it to the brim and the clip is very tight, so it's like a decent little makeshift headlamp. Of course a dedicated headlamp is better, but for EDC and Patrol work, it's been just fine. For $35 you can't go wrong. I've dropped it multiple times accidentally onto concrete and it's still working perfectly. The minimalist and durable nature of the light appeals to me.
