Gonna be driving through PA on a road trip soon, any parks I should check out? I already know about Allegheny National Forest, and I'd like to check out the different ecoregions in the state.

Entirely depends on the route you take. Northern tier has more parks along rt. 6 than you can shake a stick at. Some of the best trout fishing in the eastern US too.

Southern tier along rt. 80 has less, but still some good lands once you get to the ridge and valley.

Erie Bluffs and Shades Beach Park have my favorite hiking trails on Lake Erie. Presque Isle has good running/biking trails but is lackluster when it comes to hiking trails. The trail at the eastern end of the park is a joke - might as well just walk along the beach.
ANF is your best bet for camping. It's generally more scenic but more crowded near the reservoir and more peaceful further south, like in the Hickory wilderness area.
For historical stuff in NWPA, check out Drake Well and the Austin Dam ruins. And Kinzua Bridge for more recent history. It was destroyed by a tornado and is now an observation platform with hiking trails down below.

Tuscarora on rt 80, Minister Creek in Allegheny, and there's Colton Point and the Grand Canyon on Rt 6. Might as well stop at Kinzua Bridge while in Allegheny. The visitor center is pretty cool.

Go to Bald Eagle State Park in Centre and Clinton counties. It's also close to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and the Amish nexion in Mifflin County below (if you want to see Amish people for whatever reason).

Valley forge has a couple nice day trails, cool history stuff too if your into it. Tobyhanna is beautiful but it’s out of the way up in the poconos. French creek and ridley creek are nice too.

As a former Pennsylvanian I will advise you to NOT stop anywhere painted red on this map. Do not get off the turnpike and only stop for gas/emergencies. It's hard to explain why. It's driving into Siberia or something. These people don't live in the same reality as us.

The Delaware water gap is nice but it's pretty much the same as Pennsylvania. Definitely check out the pine barrens (especially for fishing), there's nothing else like it. Sandy Hook is also nice with a lot of abandoned WWII era stuff to explore.

NJ is a really nice place outside of the Interstate 95 corridor (NYC to Trenton) where all the niggers and mexicans are. It's one of those states with extreme oppisites, where you can live in a good area and only ten minutes away it's all section 8 garbage.

That's not true. I've lived in PA my whole life and Cherry Springs is by far the best night sky viewing experience. I think anyone with the word "New" on their license plates should die the faggy painful deaths they deserve. But that's one spot in the state I'm willing to share.

the state government websites are pretty comprehensive and generally list the parking gps coordinates for trails in decimal coordinates which is handy to plug into your mapping app on your phone

and there's a couple local PA websites for hikes and scenic stuff in the area

there's really a lot more information out there about PA than WV

im just trying to day hike in peace im going to airbnb or home at night , no diapers for me, so im not the one to blame

The shore is definitely worthwhile, and yeah I guess if you're more of a mountain type there isn't much. But Delaware spends a ridiculous amount of money on its beaches and parks. It's a hidden gem if you're not looking for Everest. The estuaries are really cool and you see all types of shit, and I've never been bitten by those flies that NJ has.

I like the mountains but certainly wouldn't go to DE looking for that experience. Is it easy to find solitude in those wildlife preserves along the shore? Don't care for more popular spots like Rehoboth Beach and would prefer a more peaceful experience.

Yes, a lot of them are actually only accessible by permit. The locals by special license plates. Any other details I'd be talking out of my ass but there is plenty. My boss owns a beach house we got to every so often because she's cool and she shares and we often are on estuary trails with nobody around. Honestly, I know you said you don't want to go to popular beaches but even those aren't usually crowded when we go.
