I'm not quite sure if this is the right forum to go on to ask this question, but I've been wondering about something and I'd like /out's/ opinion on this before I do it.

Is it morally okay to capture, clean, and eat turtle in the wild? I live in a small little town in Florida and the area is loaded with these critters. Me and my father have been talking about the possibilities of catching and eating one, but after watching a video on how to clean a Soft Shell turtle, the guy was ostracized for it in the comments.
