Are these enough for outdoor usage in cold areas, like snow for a few people on some chairs etc? Considering one for photo shoots and snow etc

There's firepits too which will be higher but but they kind of just radiate everywhere and there'll be smoke etc and may not always be appropriate

if you want a heater to be efficient you will use it inside a fireproof tent, wood smoke will gas you out even with a vent, propane burns clean use that

Just to keep people warm huddled close to heater during photo shoots when, not concerned with efficiency so much, just a few hours. So not concerned about gas usage rate.

Dude no, that's the sure way to die from carbon monoxide poisoning. Those are meant to be used only in large and well ventilated spaces such as industrial warehouses and open building sites.

That's stupid as fuck and dangerous as fuck and it's not going to change no matter how much you assume what /out/-related stuff i have or have not done. But true, i have never thought of gettin a tent and even less a heater on ice while doing that since i know how to dress properly due to living in the countryside near the arctic circle my whole life.

I’ve used a gas heater indoors in a house, we have them hooked up straight to the gas line from the floor made for it, all you are supposed to do is keep the window slightly ajar, also those heaters usually. As any carbon monoxide build up with then ventilate. As any rate would be extremely low, since any sufficient rate of carbon monoxide production would actually be burned and used as additional fuel and turned into CO2, eg carbon monoxide is a large portion of what is actually burning in a wood fire. The danger is putting it in an enclosed space over a period of time, not putting in an ‘enclosed’ (with mild ventilation) space.

Slav here, how does one transport all of that?
Here in eastern Europe you spend the whole day walking, enjoying the outdoors and drilling new holes when you get cold (also sipping the flask).
Whole kit fits in one reinforced and insulated box that holds all your gear and acts as a stool.
Is there really so much fishing spots in US that you can just plop a tent on a single hole and call it good for the day?

Some guys here use tents.

I personally never, but they drag them in with sleds and have motorized augers etc. the whole deal.
Some people in canada even have moveable ice fishing cabins

So if average is 60k, and you sit 2-3 metres to be comfortable, and they heat in 360 degrees, while these heaters should be 180 degrees or less, and it’s 10k btu, so equiv of maybe 20k vs a fire due to angle. Then half the distance should also be comfortable too, so 1-1.5 metres? I dunno

What i'm not getting is how you can spend whole day sitting at a single hole. Fish move and so should you. Fish might not be biting at your hut but they are 100 meters away, do they just sit there and hope for the best? I doubt they pack their stuff every half an hour move half a mile and setup it again. What i'm not getting is the passive aspect of it, imagining this is more of camping on ice than actual fishing and you are actually hiding inside form the nature.
Feels alien, but to each its own i guess.

Oh those guys will have a "main hole"and drill a bunch of side holes where they have self-setting tip up rods. So they can fish multiple spots at a time.

Plus if they want to move to the other side of the lake i'm pretty sure those tents are pretty easy to move

If you heat your face and forearms, your fingers can stay warm:
https://patents.google.com/patent/US20190247224A1 . With insole heaters my toes stay warm but the rest of my body feels colder. Overall comfort is worse, unless you're preventing frostbite. Maybe the heated jacket is better than those two options.

Not an issue unless you're literally sealed in a plastic bubble. Also, propane contains oxygen so it's not like you're burning up "your own supply".

I've used pic related for years in both tents and pop-up campers when hunting and also I'll set it on low down in my basement hooked up to a 20lb tank burning all night long on particularly cold winter nights, to lower my home heating bill.
