>>237287gotta love how dig and shovel are different functions. it always makes me laugh. anyways, i just thought i should mention the reason i bought it was because i much prefer the locking mechanism on it to the one like on the e-tool. it works fine, but its not gonna last and is shoddy. the only function that didnt work as advertised was the bottle opener, its just to big to get in to gook on the cap properly. and i never tried can opening. if an american company made this same shovel to the same specs and everything, but with quality materials and workmanship, it would be a very decent shovel. oh also, i didnt use it as a paddle. i did the shield fuction, but obviously i never got attacked my a guy with a katana or anything. also due to the rounded edge of the 'hammer' it doesnt work well for hammering. you can see in the video almost every time the guy hits it he reflects off to one side or the other.
long story short, it is an excellent concept, poorly executed, as is often the case. its a cool tihng just to have though, and since it was my first (and only) i dont feel the need to replace it since it was so much money in the first place. however, if somebody were to make one, like i said, in america (or china even idc) but sold it in america but with good materials etc, i would probably get a new one since i much prefer this locking mechanism.
