>>242646I'm gonna break it down for you friend since you obvously have no fucking clue as to how the sport of duck hunting works.
>baitingYou can't bait ducks. That's illegal as fuck. Everywhere, so I don't do it.
>decoysYou seem to be misinformed here as well. People like you seem to think that decoys will magically flock birds into a spread endlessly to a slaughter. This couldn't be further from the truth. Some of my best days have been without the use of decoys. Duck hunting is 90% location with the other 10% being decoys, calling, other hunters, weather, etc. Location probably is more than 90% but due to your ignorance I'll give you a few percentage points.
>callingBy far the bigger misconception people like you as well as people that call themselves duck hunters think. Calling doesn't help that much. Let's say calling can account for 10% of your hunting success. Out of that whole 10% it might only work 50% of the time and that bring extremely generous. For example, in my original picture from starting the thread there was a group 200 or so yards away on a separate clearing. They blew on a call all day where is I didn't even touch my call. We had more birds land in our location than they did. We also watched 100 or so birds land at an intersection of the bodies of water we were both hunting. Later that day those guys calling moved to where the birds where pandit earlier and started to call like they did earlier. So what happened? The birds STOPPED landing in that area. So what I'm saying is calling can actual hurt you in some situations.
So if you want to criticize someone for what they are doing at least know what your talking about. There are plenty of aspects of duck hunting that can be criticized that have some merit, but saying baiting, decoys, and calling make it too easy are not one of those.
Out of curiousity how much money have you given to preserve, improve, or make new wetland habitats for waterfowl so they are still healthy?
