REI type store-bought gear breaks down much faster than you'd expect, it's recreational. look to military stuff, though it's heavier.
also hygiene begins to matter a lot, as in gangrene etc. dirty clothes wear out faster.
if you're wearing 50% or more cotton clothes during summer, somewhere humid, they will absorb all of the air moisture during the day and stay wet, constantly, getting cold at night. forests trap moisture.
wet clothes will shred after brushing against enough branches.
bring an axe and rope or fishing/hunting stuff or you'll get bored unless on some sort of buddhist mission.
bring something like this:
https://www.simpleoutdoorstore.com/outsak.htmlfor food or the squirrels will demolish your entire campsite looking for food. (chewing tent guylines, backpack straps and holes, etc. they have a gnawing reflex that goes off when they smell food around.)
mosquito netting may be necessary some areas and seasons but you'll get used to them if it's normal spawn levels.
