We have 2 separatist movements in this state (state of Jefferson, greater Idaho and I guess the timber unity), but when you live here you start to slowly realize Kate Brown is taking her cue cards from Gavin Newsom. Just reading it a bit slower like a retard. Neither of the separatist movements will ever accomplish anything unless it is a west Virginia Civil War situation.
Hunting in the state is trash because we get such an overflow of California and Washington hunters that our big game is over hunted. Then when you try to change any of the rules to make out of starters more difficult like how Wyoming does, you realize every ODFW meeting has 20x the anti Hunters present. People in power that want to get rid of hunters and protesters that will fall on the floor to save the danimals.
It's such a beautiful state, but overpopulated and only getting worse due to homelessness. After reading about Portland police raiding a dudes house for a sticker at his charity and what's happening in Washington with similar, I am getting out. This place will let a guy go trying to burn a building down or loot a building for inclusion and equity but arrest you if you so much as think an opinion out loud.
Most hunters in OR move to hunt east oregon then to the rocky mountains anyways as the situation gets worse.
Fishing is easy because you just read odfw restock schedule and follow the pond where the farm fish gets dumped. Mushrooming is great too but mostly in the nw corner where all the population is.
