And yes the weather will be very mild but I still want something more substantial than only the sleeping bag, the bivvy will give me that extra protection, at the expense of some condensation, which might not be that huge since the nights aren't that hot yet.
I still have the other half of the tarp that I can use to pitch and have some form of roof in case it rains or that I need some shadow to cover from the sun.
The most important part of this trip is it being a test tube for a bigger and far rougher trail that I want to do next, I'm trying to figure out if the /diy/ shit I'm doing now will suffice or if I'll have to get serious and spend some shekels that I don't really want too.
