>>2380192It will never look as good as that. Best I've seen, surprisingly, was in south Texas. Nevada was nice too but it wasn't quite as clear, could have been the weather I guess but I had expected it to be significantly better since I was farther from lights out there. Either way, the milky way was quite visible in both, but like everyone else has said, that image is the result of a long exposure, your eyes don't have the ability to combine long amounts of time like that so everything will be more or less monochrome and much fainter and less detailed.
