The lombardy poplar is a 1/10, it is a huge piece of shit. I don't know why anyone plants these things because "they make good shade trees and grow fast"

lombardys grow too fast to be of any use later. They are not a hard wood. They have an average life of maybe 15 or 20 years before they succumb to every tree disease. Once they die, they dry out fast, and become light as Styrofoam, so now you have fucking spears and javelins growing above your kids playground and back yard, GOD FUCK THESE THINGS
