How can you do what is right without feeling like a monster? I saw a fawn abandoned in middle of the road, some placenta still on it, yesterday and I moved it into the grass hoping the mom would come back to it. I checked it out for broken bones or cuts, but only the ear had a small wound so I left it. I went back today to find it dead a few steps from where I put it. I feel terrible..
