Solo camper, want something decent, that will last. Price isn't an issue but obviously don't want to spend money where it isn't needed.

Don't mind just want something of sensible weight for carrying and in the case of inflated pads something that won't deflate halfway through the night.

Self inflating is probably best, I woke up the other morning with my inflatable pad completely flat, must've had a slow leak

I am very happy with the Thermarest Z lite. It's light weight, durable and affordable. It's good for 3 seasons. But it comes down to what you value in your pad, many people say that it's too uncomfortable for them.

You gonna carry it anywhere or Basecamp it? The thermarest neoair xlites are pretty popular because they're relatively comfortable and durable, but very light. If you're gonna just hike it into a camp once though weight matters less and you might want something like a sea to summit comfort plus (insulated).
And if you're gonna car camp, hell, get a cot or something.
