I grew up in Montana and Utah as a kid. Did tons of hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, etc. I moved out and decided to move to Lousiana in the Bayou country. Met my wife there (from Maine) so we moved up to Northwest Maine (one of the most desolate areas in the East). We decided to move to the Upper Peninsula because we both love the outdoors and that's where we're now raising our kids.
I've grown up in all these rural places and been raised on the outdoors. I've travelled and done trips all across America and Canada. And now I just feel empty inside like I've wasted my whole life outdoors and never lived in a city. I'll never know what I'm missing. I'll never know. And it kills me inside. There must be more to life than outdoor hobbies. I know there must be.
Anybody else feel this way?
