I'm thinking about getting into doing some paddle camping and was wondering if there are any entry level kayaks as far as price goes that are any good? I am 6'1 and currently about 260 pounds and my google searches are giving me kayaks that are like 1k and up. Is this just what the price for what I need is? Am I just a noob that doesn't know what to look for? I will say I am not going to be ready for a while, I still want to rent a kayak a few more times and do traditional camping to make absolute sure I want to spend the money for the equipment. Camping equipment at least is the least of my worried because I have plenty of gear from the military to do basic camping with.
