Same problem. Try camping somewhere a little less boonie to get used to it. Then work up to middle of nowhere with nobody around. Or just tough it out. The first night or two will suck but you’ll eventually be so tired you won’t care. Then you’ll get used to camping alone.

The feeling of you possibly being able to handle an attack from most things is very nice. When you get in a sketchy situation where you hope nothing crazy will happen, but know you have a fighting chance because you immediately have access to a gun and can (hopefully) shoot somewhat accurately it's very calming in what would normally be a very nervous experience for me.

Just don't care about dying and go out there. Exhaust yourself hiking, eat a warm camp meal, pop a sleeping pill and you'll probably be fine. I don't care about bears or murderers, people who die on the trail probably get to hike forever

Be careful about that. Me and my brother were out in pictures rocks today but we had to have a rescue boat come pick us up. Both sick and dehydrated. Couldn’t make the 15 miles hike back.

If you get sick and dehydrated hours in the middle of nowhere you’re fucked.

Woke up suddenly after 2 hours of sleep to some god awful growling gurlging satanic shit. Freaking the FUCK out still cooked too.
Look outside tent and its a fucking horse munching grass and burping over and over and its stomach was growling fierce lol

Scariest place I ever camped was Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. Me and my friend did it and we were way the fuck out there in the dunes away from the parking lot. Couldn't see anybody from where we sent up camp. At night you could hear these small black beetles shifting around your tent. They made these really unnerving crawling sands. It was a full moon if I remember right, so you could see far far off into the distance, and there wasn't any vegetation cover. Max spooky.

Best advise I can give is that you need to understand that if you go out into nature you are no longer on top of the food chain. Everything is a threat. You need to be self aware of your entire surroundings.
A few tips.
NO HEADPHONES. This is #1 rule when I go into nature.
DO NOT walk into grassy fields or areas where you can't see your footpath.
Carry a solid stick at all times.
Make sure to sip water slowly and snack on rations
If you run into threatening wildlife. DO NOT run. Instead shout and wave your stick around while you slowly back away.
