Where should I go hiking tomorrow? I want to hike 20-25 miles and I dont want to see people because I am autistic and cannot handle social interaction (which is why I post on 4chan).
Last weekend I went to dolly sods and did 21 miles and there were way to many people going backpacking.

If you lived around actual big mountains, which you don't, you'd know you have to actually be far away to see them. That water is 20 miles and those mountains are about 30 to 40 miles from where that picture was taken. I live at the base of those mountains and don't want to take an hour ferry ride and 45 minute drive (one way minus ferry wait) just to make fun of the pathetic foothills eastereners call *mountains*

Note, this is the front range from the base (a sand spit) you can't see the larger mountains behind them. The foothills (all green) are the same height or taller than 90% of the east coast.

The irony here is that the COASTLE foothills are still taller tha almost every *mountain* in the east--even the inland mountains. If anything your comment/image makes Tennessee mountains even more pathetic. My training hikes go from 400 feet to 6,000 feet in about 3 to four miles. The ski to sea race goes from around 10,000 feet to sea level.
