How much do you want to spend, what kind of water do you fish (lake, river, stream, from a float tube/boat) and how big are the fish? You can’t go wrong with a tfo rod but there are cheaper set ups to be had. The orvis encounter line is cheap and you can get it as a combo (rod line reel) but if you like fly fishing you might outgrow a set up like that quickly.

I'm in Canada, so prices will be ridiculous anyways. But I want something not too cheap (and preferably not made in China... if that is even possible).
Pan sized trout (brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout)... if that makes sense. Fishing in a Brooks and ponds in Newfoundland. I will check out those rods you mentioned now, anon. Thanks so far.
