>>2403980I used ESRI imagery imported into google earth to spot them, had printouts of google earth with me and had them marked on my phone (Alpine Quest mapping app). Also listened for them ofc and scouted occasionally. We did a LOT of portaging, ran some minor swiftwater. Nothing technical.
Our biggest days of walking were day 2 (Balvatnet over the col into Sweden) and at the end (20km or so per day, passing rapids and lakes where we would have had a severe headwind)
