Numerous encounters with deer and foxes this past year, some of them really close up, but I'm always too slow to take a photo :(

my best animal encounter memory is from my army days when we were scouting enemy location and our top man heard something and signaled rest of us to stay down
after a while he whispered there is someone walking next to me i swear, i stuck my head up from the brush and it was a deer standing next to him
deer bolted away and we had a good laugh and smoke to calm our nerves

North Alabama here. Saw two large birds of prey flying over my house this morning. Possibly red-tailed hawks though I didn't get a good look at them.

Good thing I have netting over chicken pen.

Saw 4 deer two days ago (one of them is already in the bush, this was a vid but 5mb limit)
These things just stand on bike paths in the morning and don't move when grazing. I see a dozen almost every day when biking to work.

No photo sadly but I saw a pair of sea otters on the beach earlier this spring. They're surprisingly big, like the size of a medium dog.
