>>240649I have four tents. A msr hubba hubba. A MEQ north wind. A Hilleberg Soulo and an old fjällräven.
I camp mostly in Scandinavian mountains and forests, but also Greenland, Canada and other places.
I think I like the hubba hubba best. It is the most versatile and only weighs 2 kg. Have slept at least 150 nights in this tent in 9 years.
The MEQ is 3,5 persons, have two entrances and a well ventilated 4 season tent I use for car camping and an occasional winter trip. I also loan it out to friends who i go on summertrips with. Have slept in for 40 nights, but mostly car camping in Sweden with my ex.
The Soulo is small and does not vent very well. I use it for end of season and winter hiking. Or if I know we will camp a lot in exposed areas above the tree line. Otherwise I just use the msr during the summer. I have only slept in this tent for 20 nights because it is fairly new.
The old Fjällräven is old but still good. It is 35 years and has upright poles and takes a lot time to raise. Not much space inside. 3 person, but only accomodates 2. Still impressively weather resistant of a 35 year old tent. Used this tent a lot as a kid with my father (his tent originally). Now it really isn't used and if you live in Denmark I will give it to you.
I have also had (shared) a 4 person Helsport Femund. A good tunnel tent from Norway. I like to sleep alone if not with my girlfriend, so my friends used it for years until it broke. I used the msr or Hilleberg. This tent only lasted approx 150 nights of hard use outside. Several things broke. Not too impressed, but good tent while it lasted. Pic related
