Imo it's pretty much impossible to do with the mentality of consumerism
Cause the methods used in solar punk is pretty inefficient compared to our current tec

I very much agree that it's impossible with the current state of consumerism. As soon as people stop psychotically buying every new piece of clothing or tech, then something close to solar punk is possible. Not a minute sooner though.
That being said, I love solar punk. I sincerely hope my future will be something like that aesthetic, not too optimistic about that though. I try to make the choices that will lead there though. Wishing doesn't mean shit.
