>>241037couple weeks ago, had my mini-14 and g22 on side, decide to hike.
>get about 1 mile into woods, not even a sound can be heard from the neighborhood>stop to look around/take pictures, find a bone>fuck this greentextingi look down at the bone, it's animal, but it shines too much to be melted snow. I take my ka-bar out and poke at it, it's wet from something. I thought, well, it's been around these leaves underneath the snow, so no big deal. I then hear something like a cough when you hold a glove or sleeve over your mouth in the distance. I thought, well shit, i've pissed a hunter off, so i raise up really fast and start looking around for him. I see nothing, so I brush it off and keep walking. About 1/4 of a mile away from the bone I come up on a downed tree in my path (old logging roads) and i move kinda off the path to the side to get by it. i notice some snow rustled around beside the path and thought "good, i'll get to take pictures of something besides snow", maybe a rabbit or a raccoon. i try to follow the rustled snow path and i notice round shapes that look all too familiar. fucking bare footprints, looked like my size but a little wider. I get my zoom camera out to take pictures of them and pan up to get the trail as it disappears around the ridge line and see a big brown mass laying in the snow. i zoomed in on it and saw a dead animal laying there, a doe deer, just in a big pile like it had no bones. although dead it had a worried look on it, if animals can have that. the big black eyes looked scared to death and its tongue was laying outside it's half open mouth.
