I'm not sure if there's a better board for this, but I'm looking for anyone who might have some gardening advice, specifically a Japanese Maple.

It's about 6 years old, and still in a (Large) pot. We don't own our home and were told that they're pot stable as long as you keep them watered. This has been fine every year. New growth in spring. Leaves through the Summer, sheds them in autumn. Bla bla. This year however, all the leaves seemed to have died -early- in summer. It began after a stint of days in the mid 90s and It's been this way for a few weeks now. Does anyone have any advice for whether or not this might be a more serious issue or if it just got blasted by the heat and will regrow? Its never done this before and want to make sure it isn't anything serious.
