>>2421401I'm generally a person who finds woods very very eerie, not cuz ghosts or whatever but people and animals, it was foggy and dark af (couple hours before sunrise), with a flashlight and can barely see a meter infront/under me, it was that bad, was very cold wearing all my clothes, very muddy, suddenly I start hearing a scream, it sounded like a young woman scream, just one scream and suddenly back to that eerie silence, that was quite possibly the closest I've ever been to shitting my pants, I immediately turn off my light, even though it was foggy and idk how far my flashlight was visible, I still didn't feel safe hearing a fucking woman scream and keep having my position (possibly) so visible.
I started walking as fast and careful as I could, there's mud, literally can't see shit, literally, it's still full dark.
At one point I see lights in the distance, fog clearing a bit, it's a street, I turn on my flashlight and run as fast as I can towards it, ok I'm safe, but I'm not gonna wait here forever... fuck it what's the worse that could happen, I walk back to the trail and continue on, that's where this story kind of ends, maybe? the rest of the walk in the dark it was a weird experience seeing a flashlight infront of me, walks, stops, it seems to stalk me, takes a turn, I walk past that turn (a few minutes after I saw it turn), walk a bit, look behind me... the light is now behind me...
Now, the logical thing would be the scream was maybe a cat, the light stuff was just me over-interpreting other hikers on the trail, but I don't wanna believe that!
