Work at a ranch/is/used to be a cowboy or was just born with a silver spoon?

I was thinking; with the price of gas being so out of control that it might be a good idea to buy a horse. I have 40 acres and could build a stable and its all fenced in already, but I do not know the costs. I looked online elsewhere and they said the horse only cost about 1-3,000$ but the upkeep/maintenance of the horse is about 10,000$/year between food, shots, horseshoes, vaccinations, vet visits, etc.

Basically I just want to roll up to CVS with my horse and park in a handicap spot and if anyone says something tell them the horse is a retard.

Can you get a DUI riding a horse while drunk? This might also let me go to the bar and park it at the horse fence post thing and drunkily make my horsey take me home
