to me, "better" is a steel without large carbides to get pulled out of the matrix and demonstrates wear resistance at a high level of sharpness.
based on that criteria, steels like cpms30v are not "better". I also never implied that the Blur came in that steel. I was referring to 14C28N. that is a good steel based on my criteria but, Kershaw has struggled to heat treat properly. I realize that the Blur has been made in a variety of steels and again apologize for any confusion.
