On swamp maps hammocks are OP. Every other map tents destroy them.

It needs to be rebalanced. There's basically no reason to ever play a tent on swamp, which makes the whole map type boring and leads to 80% of people avoiding it. Hammock needs to be buffed elsewhere and nerfed a bit on swamp.

In my experience, hammocks are best for situations where the weather is warm and I plan on being drunk the whole time. For everything else, I prefer a tent.

I use a tent. I could see being a hammocker. But I'm in Wyoming and the beetles have fucked so much of the lodgepole pine like 1/3 trees are dead standing wood and they're falling all the time. As a result I always look for open ground to set up. Ymmv if you're some Appalachian bum where the trees are plentiful and unaffected and the ground always bumpy.
