>>2431137To clarify, I didn't have much time to discuss the details of the agreement, so I walked into a shitty place. I tried clarifying how many hours does this guy want, but he'd dodge the questions. So I met him at the airport and he's asking for 30. I think to myself I need a place to stay tonight to see if there is something better elsewhere, so I stayed for two nights, and then left. Was homeless for a week before a hostel took up my volunteering offer right in the city center in a huge ball room with just another volunteer and a guy who'd sleep there during the day, so almost private (at least I fucked my ex gf there all the time as it was mostly empty). I was supposed to do 15 hours per week, but in practice I did as low as 10, usually 12. Guy also paid me a weekly allowance of 50€ and I had access to the breakfast hall where they were serving milk, cereals, bread, cheese, butter and eggs. So I could also make egg sandwiches for lunch and dinner for free essentially. That was the best volunteer agreement I've ever had.
tl;dr
There is good shit out there, but it really depends on your luck.
>>2431141I'm sure there are good listings too, but these places have a lot of shithouse people honestly. But you can find good listings. Hostels usually ask for less hours than farms, so consider those. They are also great if you run out of cash and need a place to stay to get your shit back together. Some are in /out/ locations, like winter sport towns. Also if you're moving countries as you usually don't need to local language to sit at the reception desk for luggage, etc.
Where are you looking for? I'm myself looking to move to Munich or thereabouts to be close to Alps and will probably volunteer somewhere too to get started.
>redditIf you want a laugh, just read "horror" stories, basically idiots being exploited and refusing to GTFO immediately and then whining on internet about it. Genuine retards.
