90% of my outings are at the beach because I live a mile from one. I can do overnights any time I want or just hit up the local sea wall and skate / bike with my kids. It’s hard to drive further away when I can just enjoy being out so close to home.

I stay /in/ too, but only because where I live it's 90%+ humidity as well as over 90 degrees F regularly. I don't even like being in my yard for more than 5 minutes. Also all the cool out stuff is at least a couple hours away, at least until it cools the fuck down.

Same, in SE Louisiana. I consider July and August to be the off-season. September can be hot as well but at least I can drive to Alabama where it’s 65/80.

Snack (cotton candy grapes today)

I usually get here and set up and go straight in the water. I'll swim a bit then come out and put on sunscreen after I dry off.
Then I'll just vice out to music and podcasts while people watching.
