I camped in the forest outside of Paisley OR, after it had burned. It was gay. The ground was covered in ash, the river was fucked, the trees were obliterated. It was gay as fuck, and honestly, it made me realize that man is kind of a shithead when it comes to stewardship of nature.

I didn't say they were the best forests ever, but they have their charms. It's cool seeing early successional habitat. Lots of nice birches and blueberries. Keeps things varied.

You know forest fires have been a normal and adapted-to occurence in that region of the world for millions of years you fucking hippy faggot? If it wasnt man it would be something else because those forests reach a tipping point where if they dont burn they just slowly die off from lack of soil resources and sunlight because of an overcrowded canopy.
