Camping in a state park

Maryland anon here, is it allowed to camp in the woods at a state park? I would do it anyway if I could walk to the park but alas I'll need to drive, so my car will be sitting at one of the lots all night.

Go to green ridge or savage river state forests, otherwise no, your car will get ticketed.
If western MD is too far and you're a dumb eastie you can also park overnight at harpers ferry (or take amtrak if you want to go no car) and camp along the AT

Yeah right. State land is always locked down tighter than your mom's ass. Remember this whenever any politician says they want to "return land to the states," by the way. If it's not sold off, it will end up restricted to the point it might as well be a national park in Europe.
