I'm from a country with fuck loads of ticks and outside of May to August you're not in any real threat from them. I've been bitten hundreds of times and practically lived in forests picking various berries growing up and I don't think I've picked any ticks off anywhere from September. It also depends where you are, close to the city there's less. If there's more deer and other vectors for them, it's more likely. There's nothing else to be concerned about.
