and i cant understand how bellows effect is lacking in overalls. it all depends on fabric, fit, cut, use of drawstring, over layer if used and so. but of course its better having just a t shirt with pants when its hot than overall with tshirt because its less fabric. and how they can be compared with skin thight clothing when there's nothing alike, even taking the bellows effect in mind.
with lot of abrasion? maybe, but not exclusively. fishing and hunting i dont think are abrasive from my experience. i suppose they are best for work which requires lots of bending, climbing, going into odd positions as they just keep in place better than pants with belt or even suspenders. they also can have more pockets and offer some protection to your shirt from outside elements.
not bad for hiking. a small problem when you want to shit. and when its scorching hot. now its for you to decide if you like the look and the feel of them, but again there are many variants. its just pants with more fabric and straps
