You can use it as AR, and it will tell you what hill is what, and also you can set a route with various waypoints on a 3D map like Google Earth, and the times are generally pretty accurate. Give you a total ascent/descent/distance etc as well.
It's bloody good. Knows where the tracks are, unless there's a recent change. There's heaps you can't see from just this screenshot off my ipad.
