I resent being so disconnected from nature. I've gotten soft, despite trying.

I've camped plenty, backpacked for a while. I suppose the trappings of the modern world have gotten the best of me

Some people are just city slickers. Not all of were born to be outdoorsmen

But that's okay. There's a reason why the majority of people live in cities.
Embrace it and stop trying to force yourself to be "outdoorsy" just because that's whats trendy on social media these days
