First time going out

First time going out tomorrow.
Been wanting to do it for so long it feels strange that i'm actually doing it.

You lot got any good tips for a first time free roam beater?

i see. my real advice would be to go on a smaller trip than you think you should start with. Youll need some time to figure out how to set up your tent in a good spot, and stay warm and shit. for example, don't start out with a 5 day hike up a mountain. start with a single overnight so you can get your feet wet

yee! I'm only going for a single night - it'll be from when I get off work at 13:00 untill the next day roughly same time - plus it's not even that far from home, like... a 30min ride.

Also might make a mug, going swimming in a lake early morning.
also... gonna try making a bonfire without using gasoline or any like... ignition liquid for the first time.
Also just mainly hiking around the woods.

good plans there. if you want, you could take a little pocket notebook and make notes about some of the stuff you see or places you visit, or make little leaf pressings of cool plants you find, or even a make a map
