Is it just me or am I the only one that is scared when alone in the woods? I still go /out/. Oftentimes I'm in a remote area where the closest road or trail is 5-7 miles away. It's not too deep, but far enough to where it's rare to see another human especially since I'm off trail. I feel most vulnerable in my shelter. My mind tries to convince me something will attack me while I'm sleeping. Humans, bears, Bigfoot, aliens. How do you cope? I've heard trust your intuition so maybe my paranoia is valid? Or is it unnatural to feel this way since I'm probably the most dangerous being out there since I carry a pistol.
